Journey

Since my first personal website in 1995, I’ve worked across multiple roles and stacks in technology, in organisations of all sizes and natures, from tiny studio vibes, to fast-paced startups and scaleups, to full-on enterprise mode.

My experience spans technical leadership, product management, consulting, mentoring, coaching, and teaching.

In this journey, I had the privilege of working with extraordinary people on compelling challenges, in product development, engineering, and leadership.

I have led complex projects from early stages, including distributed language testing platforms and large-scale design systems.

Throughout the years, I have navigated different sectors: SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, advertising, and content platforms, with ed-tech and tech-ed being the domains I have most enjoyed working in.

I don't remember all the programming languages and systems I have worked with so far, but I remember doing every job — from web design to backend, to frontend, to DevOps or UX/UI — before these became careers on their own.

Somewhere in the middle, I led marketing and R&D for a pioneering modular mobility product, used to manage traffic peaks in large venue car parks, and monitor thousands of airport parking spaces with acoustic sensors, among other wild adventures in industrial automation.

This continues to be the project I mention when people ask which project taught me the most.

As all things web became more mature, I developed a tendency toward working with user-centered digital products, and an attraction for the challenges at the intersection of the product, design, and engineering crafts.

After a privileged sabbatical period, dedicated to family, self-healing, and self-actualisation, my journey is at the point where I feel the project that will teach me the most is going to be the next one.

I am currently available for workshops, advisory engagements, and longer-term mentoring work with teams and individuals.
