I worked 2 years at New Relic, and I've been building frontends for more than two decades. So I know a thing or two about observability but should I bother? Regardless, I am still curious to know what's the landscape in 2023 for small website owners.

I have been benchmarking continuously while building this website. Not too worried as building with Astro is delivering on the promise. But I noticed how my previous site's Lighthouse score was degrading for 3 years. Everything grows and evolves, so I will want to monitor my website's performance.
