When I relaunched this website a little over 2 years ago, I was hoping to be posting here at least a couple of times a year. Ahem ... But, yes! the strategy and the ambitions did not expire. Here I am again: rebuilding the whole thing, enjoying React and static site generation and making plans to blog more often.

My first website was hosted in tripod, back in 1995. For the next 13 years I had a constant, tireless, and experimental presence on the web. In 2008 I took my last site down. To this day, under andretorgal.com, you could only find a placeholder, a 404 or a mysterious timeout. It's time to change this sad state of affairs.
