About

My music

🚧 This list is incomplete!

I recorded a lot more at home in the past 15 years or so and I'll eventually upload more music.

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy what I have here so far.

Ambivalent Red

Around 25 minutes of music I found the courage to call done. Call it post-rock if you will. It gets loud and noisy at some points. Hope you like it.

Drafts

Some tunes from the last 10 years or so. From the 40~50 "song" ideas I have seating on laptops and portable drives, some of it eventually finds its way online. But I still don't find them "finished".

Espírito da Paz (Redux)

Another attempt, at Madredeus 1994's Espírito da Paz this time recorded at home in Barcelona.

Espírito da Paz

This was back in 2009, I believe. I was spending a lot of time on my own, recording instrumental rock versions of all the songs in this 1994 Madredeus album.

That's me, recording in my home studio, playing all the instruments except the cello.

These two tracks, in particular, I was quite happy with the result.

Soon (or never)

I have a few drives of takes, stems, bounces, whatnot .. but not much is mixed or mixable to be fair.

I am talking about 20 years of recording in computers, since CoolEdit circa 1998, through a myriad of of obscure DAWs all the way to my most recent favourite StudioOne.

Even in the last decade, on the small apartments of London and Barcelona.

Back in Portugal I actually had a fully functional studio in our basement. I mean a 24 track analogue Mackie, monitors, full mic'ed drums, headphone mixers, pre-amps - the works.

I was also in bands, pre web, even pre CD time. There were many demos, all recorded on tape, and I currently have none of that with me.

I have been trying to get in touch with old band mates and find out what they managed to keep, port to digital. I'll get there one day.
